In 2016, I was the director and performer of the theatre production The Wind Is a Horse, and at the same time served as the set, lighting, and costume designer.

Written by Mohammad Charmshir, the play tells the story of a woman named Marjan who, as a child, is forced into a long-term marriage after her father is killed by Naser al-Din Shah and is taken into the royal harem.

Marjan grows up in the harem, forgotten by the Shah and deprived of his presence or commitment. Now, at the age of thirty, she seeks to reclaim her identity and take revenge on the power that has taken ownership of her life.
